Objective:
In "Future Card Buddyfight", two players face off to reduce their opponent’s life points to zero. Each player uses a deck containing spell cards, monsters, and a Buddy Monster.
Setup:
- Each player needs a personalized deck consisting of exactly 50 cards. A player's stack includes a chosen flag and corresponding Buddy Monster.
- Players determine randomly who starts.
- Both players draw five cards into their hand.
- Each player starts with ten life points.
Playing Field Overview:
- Deck Zone: Place for the remaining deck.
- Drop Zone: Discard pile for defeated cards.
- Gauge Zone: Area for used resources.
- Buddy Zone: Zone for the Buddy Monster.
- Play Area: Central field zone for monster cards.
Phases of Gameplay:
- Beginning Phase: Refresh all tapped cards.
- Draw Phase: Draw the top card of your stack.
- Charge and Draw Phase: You may put one card from your hand into the Gauge Zone and draw a card.
- Main Phase: You can summon monsters, activate spells, and prepare attacks.
Attack Phase:
- Decide which monsters you wish to attack with. Each player has options to defend the attacks using spell cards.
- Attacks are resolved based on the combat power of monsters.
- If a player’s life point total falls to zero, that player loses the game.
Special Rules:
- Buddy Gift: At any point in the game, you can gain 1 life point by playing your Buddy Monster.
- Gauge Management: Skillfully managing your resources is crucial.
- Combining Card Abilities: Some cards complement each other well, enabling strategic fortification during the game.
