Objective of the Game

MicroMacro: Crime City is a cooperative detective game where players work together to solve various criminal cases depicted on a large city map. The main objective is to identify the perpetrator, understand the motive, and reconstruct the sequence of events by discovering tiny details on the map.

Game Components

The game includes: - A gigantic city map filled with small illustrated scenes. - Set of case cards, each belonging to a specific case. - A magnifying glass to better see small details.

Setup

  1. Spread out the city map and ensure all players have a good view of it.
  2. Choose a case from the case card set and place the first card on the table, which contains the introduction and the initial clues.
  3. Keep the remaining cards of the set face down and reveal them sequentially.

Rules

  1. Cooperative Play: Players work together to solve the criminal case.
  2. Gathering Clues: The first card of the case provides a brief overview of the situation. Subsequently, questions are asked on the following cards, and players need to answer them by closely examining the map.
  3. Finding Scenes: Players must look carefully and trace the story scenes throughout the map, as many stories extend across different sections of the city map.
  4. Following Trails: Some clues require observing the path of a person or object across the map. These paths and movements are often necessary to find the correct answers.
  5. Answering Questions: The goal is to answer questions posed on the cards to fully reconstruct the crime story.
  6. Using the Magnifying Glass: The included magnifying glass can be used to see even more precise details on the map.

Strategic Tips

  • Work Together: Use different players’ perspectives to investigate various points of the map simultaneously.
  • Stay Organized: It can be helpful to have one player act as a moderator to read the questions and track the progress.
  • Communication: Discuss your findings with each other, as another player might notice an important detail you overlooked.

End of the Game

The case is considered solved once all questions have been answered and the story is fully pieced together. The game allows for continuous play with additional cases of increasing complexity, enhancing replayability.
