Objective of the Game
Bandido is a cooperative board game where players aim to prevent a notorious bandit from escaping prison. Players work together to strategically place cards to surround and block all escape routes from the bandit's cell.
Game Components
- 1 Start Card (depicting the bandit in his cell with 5 or 6 exits)
- 69 Tunnel Cards, displaying various tunnel structures
Setup
- Place the Start Card in the center of the table. This card shows the bandit in his cell, surrounded by several tunnels.
- For beginners, use the card with 5 tunnels; experienced players may use the card with 6 tunnels.
- Shuffle the Tunnel Cards and deal 3 cards to each player.
- The remaining cards form the draw pile.
Gameplay
- Player Turn: The active player places one of their three cards onto an existing tunnel end to expand, branch, or block the tunnel.
- Placement Rules:
- Cards must be placed so they seamlessly fit with the existing tunnel structures.
- It's possible to close tunnels by completely blocking an end.
- Drawing New Cards: After placing a card, the player draws a new card from the draw pile to maintain three cards in hand.
- Winning the Game: The game immediately ends successfully if all tunnel exits are blocked.
- Losing the Game: If the draw pile is exhausted and the team hasn't managed to block all tunnels, the bandit escapes and the team loses.
Strategic Tips
- Communication: As a cooperative game, players should openly discuss strategies and collectively decide where to place cards for maximum effect.
- Minimize Risks: Quickly aim to block tunnels to reduce the number of potential escape routes.
- Card Distribution: Ensure cards are evenly distributed so no player is stuck without being able to perform a productive action.
Bandido is a simple yet thrilling game that requires quick thinking and great teamwork.
